This oil painting depicts a sole figure on the top of a mountain with a mailbox under a red and orange sky and bright yellow sun. It symbolizes how the mundane things we do, such as getting our mail, go on despite what is going on around us.

About Ruth Harrigan

Ruth Harrigan

Ruth Harrigan is a quadriplegic artist who creates her work with a headtracker on a computer. She is best known for her abstract works painted with original digital brushes created from photos taken around Princeton NJ where she resides. After acquiring quadriplegia in her 30’s Ruth searched for ways to create art and music. She acquired a headtracker in December 2020 and immediately began creating art and music. Her journey can best be summed up by her favorite quote: “Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.” Ruth’s art was included in the Impressions Project, a multi-arts collaborative project in 2021.
